Braised Dinosaur Kale

Braised Dinosaur Kale

1 bunch of Dinosaur Kale (aka Black or Lacinato Kale)
1-2 Tbs extra virgin olive oil
1/2 - 1 tsp minced garlic
1 cup vegetable broth
Red pepper flakes to taste
Pinch of salt

1. De-stem the dinosaur kale and wash

2. In a deep skillet heat up (med to med-high heat) the extra virgin olive oil and chili flakes to infuse the olive oil with a smoky, chili flavor. Add in the garlic and cook until it looks toasted.

3. Toss in the kale until it has all been coated w/ a little oil. Cover w/ lid for 1 minute, stir and recover for another minute.

4. Pour 1 cup of vegetable broth over the kale to deglaze the pan and cover for 3-5 min.

5. Sprinkled a pinch of salt on the kale.
